DATE CHANGE! – This event has moved to Tuesday, May 31 (from May 17) due to the school changing the date of their meeting.

We’re doing our next Ministry of Encouragement (MOE) visit to the Kasson-Mantorville Elementary School. It’s near the end of the school year and we want to thank the staff for the amazing job they’ve done all year with the kids here in our community. We’ll be thanking them at their staff meeting on Tuesday, May 17 May 31 at 7:30 am. (I know it’s early, but hopefully it will give some of you parents with kids at the Elementary School the opportunity to come along before you have to head off for work.)

For those of you who may not be familiar with an MOE, it is a quick visit to thank workers as various social service agencies, nonprofits and government entities for all they do for our community. Although our visits are short – only as long as it takes to set up the food, introduce ourselves and present a certificate of thanks (about 15-20 minutes) – these MOEs are pretty powerful ways to thank those whose work in our community often goes unnoticed but has a huge positive impact.

Since it will be a morning visit we’ll concentrate on breakfast stuff – donuts, pastries, yogurt, fruit, bars – and then also bring some stuff for later in the day – vegetable tray and dip, crackers and cheese, brownies, cookies, and “snacky” things like chips and pretzels. We’ll also need people to bring some juice, soda, and water. ** St. John’s building will be closed on Monday, May 30, so if you plan to bring something but cannot attend, please drop it off on Sunday.

If you are interested in going or bringing something for the staff to eat, please contact Pastor Dana (dana@stjohnskasson.org or (507) 634-7110), sign up on the sheets at the Welcome Center, or click here to sign up (RSVP yes/no/maybe and indicate if you’d like to bring something – you can bring something even if you can’t come and come even if you can’t bring something!). This is a really big group – over 100 people – so we’ll need a lot of help.

Thanks to all of you who can help!
