Funerals

When a loved one dies there is always too much to do, too many decisions to make, the rush of time and the fog of grief. Yet, family and friends will come and gather to support, to spend some time walking with those who grieve. The people of St. John’s are prepared to share their facilities, their talents, and their pastors to help the people of our community through such difficult days.

Our pastors will try to be with the grieving family in their home or at the hospital if asked. They will meet a second time with the family to plan the funeral worship service – to discuss Bible readings, hymn selections, and requested special music. This may be done before or after the visit to the funeral home.
