Online Opportunities

  • Preschool Connections – Mondays 11:00 am
    Stories, songs, and time with one of our program staff for preschool-aged children live on Facebook.
  • Women of Faith – Thursdays 10:30 am
    Hybrid meeting – in the Meeting Room at St. John’s or via Zoom at or call 312-626-6799 with Meeting ID: 832 6152 2256 & Password: 494990.
  • Bible study on the book of James – Sundays 9:30-10:15 am (no meeting April 10 or 17)
    Pastor Mary Kaye will lead, at least most weeks. Bring your Bible, and your curiosity, and we’ll see what we can learn & dig up in this book that Luther would have left out of the Protestant canon. Meets in the Fireside Room.

Summer Camp 2022

St. John’s students will be attending a week of overnight camp at Sugar Creek Bible Camp in Ferryville, WI, June 12-17, 2022. Students currently in 5th-12th grade have a variety of options for camp including horse camp, confirmation camp, river boats, elevated hammock camp, and staff/leaders in training. Camp options for all age groups, including family camp, are available at Sugar Creek through the second week of August. More information can be found on camp program details at and there are also camp brochures available at the Welcome Desk. The cost of camp per student is $200 (about half the true cost of camp). Scholarships are available. Please connect with Lindsay for directions on how to register.

Good Earth Village outside of Spring Valley, MN, is our congregation’s other overnight camp option. Students currently in 6th-8th grade have a second option for confirmation camp during the week of July 10-15, 2022 (changed from the originally published June week). The cost is $200 (about half the true cost of camp) and scholarships are available. A wide variety of day and overnight camps are available throughout the summer at GEV for current Kindergarten through 12th grade students. There are also two preschool play days for ages 3-5-year-olds with an adult on July 9 and July 30. Camp at GEV runs through August 10. Please connect with Lindsay for directions on how to register.

  • Sunday School or Wednesday School – 3-year-old through 4th grade students learn about God and grow in their faith.
  • Club 56 – (Sunday morning or Wednesday evenings) – 5th and 6th graders learn about God and grown in their faith.
  • Creation Kids Preschool – this Christian-based preschool program for children in our congregation and community is a ministry of St. John’s.
  • St. John’s Afterschool – faith-based programming after school for kindergarten through 6th grade. 
  • Confirmation – 7th & 8th grade programming, confirmation celebration is held for 9th graders.
  • Youth – High School youth also gather for service, conversation, and more opportunities throughout the year. Watch this page for what’s coming next.
